FHAO is a nongovernmental, non-for-profit organization created to bring people from various background throughout the world together for advancement of healthcare in developing countries like India in general and State of Orissa in particular.Founded in 2000, FHAO is the only organization whose involved in educating the public health workers in Orissa in emergency care services and provide appropriate training in basic and advanced life support measures.FHAO is based in United States of America with cordinating centers in Europe and Orissa.
GOALS
-To educate the healthcare providers about basic life saving and advanced life saving measures as per the guidelines of American Heart Association.
-To provide resources and trained personnel for conducting workshops and continued training of as many health care workers as possible at the community level.
-To facilitate collaberative efforts and partnership among institutions and organizations.
-To exchange information, share resources and expertise among FHAO members& health personnel in Orissa.
-To advance public health policy in Orissa with emphasis on Primary and Preventive health care.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Members are sent updates & encouraged to provide their ideas and how to implement them for the advancement of Healthcare in Orissa in any possible way.
Paricipate in issues & discussions related to Health care in Orissa.
Active participation by taking positions in Executive committee,getting involved in decission making,formulating plan of action and organising different activities towards achivement of our Goal are some of the Membership Priviledges.
